After Christmas Special ~ Franklin's Christmas Gift

I know Christmas is a month past, and most of us are not even thinking of it, or even next Christmas yet.  But I  have a wonderful book to review, that although is Christmas themed, has a message that is wonderful all year long.

Franklin's Christmas Gift
by Paulette Bourgeois

Book Description :
In this Franklin Classic Storybook, Franklin can’t decide what to donate to his school’s Christmas toy drive. At first, all of his toys seem too special to give away, then nothing seems special enough. With some inspiration from his Great Aunt Harriet, Franklin finally comes up with the perfect gift.

My Review :
Another adorable story of Franklin the Turtle.  My kids love his adventures and this book was no exception.  A cute story centered around Christmas time, giving and Franklin’s adventurous spirit and lovable nature.  As Franklin struggles with what to donate to the charity drive, he has to decide what is good enough for him to give and what he is willing to part with.  Should it be an old toy he no longer wants? or something wonderful to share with another child?
My kids have had similar struggles each time we go through toys and decide what to donate and what to keep.  This book will be a hit with kids of all ages.  A great read for anytime, not just Christmas.

  1. Franklin books always have such a great message. I read them to my best friend's daughter and she just loves them. I haven't read this one- so now I have a new book to share with her (and she is an only child- so this sounds like a good one for her). Thanks for sharing!

    1. Glad I could help! And thanks for stopping by once again!

  2. We love Franklin in our house too! We'll be on the lookout for this one. My daughter loves to donate her stuff (especially her old books) when there is a local charity drive going on. Her school just did a Goodwill drive and we have these bins all over town to donate your used books to. They use that money to fund literacy programs throughout the world.

Thanks for stopping by Theresa's Mixed Nuts. I'm follwing you in GFC now :) I love reading and I can't wait to read more of your reviews!
