Review of The Iron Knight (Iron Fey #4)

My name-my True Name-is Ashallayn'darkmyr Tallyn.
I am the last remaining son of Mab, Queen of the Unseelie Court. And I am dead to her.
My fall began, as many stories do, with a girl…

The Iron Knight is the fourth book in the Iron Fey series by author Julie Kagawa.  In the first book, The Iron King, we meet Meghan Chase and her best friend, and prankster extroadinaire, the infamous Robin Goodfellow, aka Puck from "A Midsummer Night's Dream" by William Shakespear.  Meghan learns that her little brother has been taken by the King of the Iron Realm in the land of Nevernever where faerie, witch, nymph and other creatures of dreams really exist.
Meghan meets all sorts of wonderous beings, including Ash, prince of the Winter Court.   Include a love triangle with Puck, Meghan and Ash, and the adventure begins. Throughout the series, Meghan learns about herself, grows in maturity and learns the hard lessons of royalty, love and determination.
The Iron Knight is the final book in the series and takes the reader on an adventure with Puck and Ash and their travel companions.  This series is a must-read for YA to adult.  If you love paranormal, fantasy, faerie and a lot of drama with a little romance thrown in ~ then you'll love this series.

  1. There was some twists and turns in the story that I was not expecting. I feel we learn a great deal about Ash that we never really knew before. There are lots of moments and events that made him the person (fey) we know and love. I also loved that Puck was along for the ride. Their friendship/hatred has so many levels to it that I really longed to understand how it all started. I finally get that. I also get great closure on their feud. Just what I hoped for!
