Notes from a ‘dumb’ dog

Allow me to introduce myself: my name is Myles, but my mom calls me Smyles cause I have a permanent grin on my face. Am I a dumb dog? Well, you decide!

You see, my former owners dropped me off at a vet’s office I had never been to before, asking for me to be euthanized. They claimed I was a ‘stupid, dumb dog that can’t be trained’. Local Updates for Feb 5, 2014 - Closings once again due to this wacky weather

Once again the weather is wreaking havoc on my schedule and that of my friends and local business partners.  School was closed again today due the the ice and snow from last night and below zero wind chills again today.  Living in a town that Rarely closes school, even when all the surrounding towns are closed, is hard on the kids many years when friends are out of school due to snow but they are still in class.

Invisible Witness by Lisa Kroulik ~ A terifying look at life as a child in a home of Domestic Violence.

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

Adults who witnessed violence between their parents when they were children often carry emotional scars that last a lifetime. The trauma to their developing brains can be so great that some psychologists have compared it to what soldiers experience in war. Like soldiers, children from violent homes are hyper-alert and expect to see danger at every turn. Since they don't possess the skills to process what they have witnessed, these children
