Available on Amazon.com and Kindle
High Tide
(Second Book in the Lowenna Series)

Giovanna Matthews settles happily into the English west country village of Lowenna, but a storm is about to rock her world. Distressing the ladies from the knitting circle, a body drifts in with a high tide and unconvinced the death is an accident, Gia leaves no pebble unturned while sleuthing her way around the village. Her delving further disrupts village life much to the distress of many villagers who want every rock to stay firmly in place. Meanwhile, her boyfriend, David, has an unwelcome visitor who threatens to unravel the bonds that tie him and Gia. Can Gia solve the mystery and encourage the visitor to leave before her anchor in the village is uprooted and she too is cast out to sea?

A special thanks to author Ann Summerville for taking time from her writing to come by and answer a few questions about her new book: Cozy in Texas.  Her blog tour begins April 1st.
Loves2Read :  How many books have you written to date?
Ann :  I have three cozy mysteries in print and another that I’m working on.
Loves2Read: Could you tell us a little about this book?
Ann:  High Tide is set in a Cornish village on the south west coast of England. Although it is a cozy mystery, it is also about the friendships within the village. Giovanna Matthews, the main character, is faced with many dilemmas. A visitor arrives looking for Giovanna’s boyfriend and brings out doubts about her relationship. She is not convinced the death during the High Tide is an accident and scrutinizes each of the villagers for motive. Many secrets come out during her unwelcome sleuthing.
Loves2Read:  What is the main message that you want your readers to grasp in this story?
Ann:  Embrace friendships. We are often too busy to notice when someone needs us. These ladies meet at a knitting circle once a week and help and encourage each other.
Loves2Read:  Which of your characters would you most/least to invite to dinner, and why?
Ann:  Rose Lanner. She is a no-nonsense woman with a heart of gold. Of course, if it’s a candlelight dinner David would be invited.
Loves2Read:  What do you enjoy doing when you are not writing?
Ann:  I like to work in the garden, quilt, and knit.
Loves2Read:  What do you do, or need, to get yourself in the “mood” for writing?
Ann:   I love writing and always seem to be in the mood to write something.  If I need to tackle something that I'm having trouble with, I set myself a specific time such as "an hour from now I will tackle Chapter 11 and work on it for an hour and a half" I find that works for me and keeping to that premise, I need to start painting the bedroom ceiling in 15 minutes!

  1. Thank you for inviting me today. By the way the book is High Tide, not Cozy in Texas (the name of my blog). I hope you enjoy reading High Tide as much as I enjoyed writing it.
